The sewist who made the panties in the photo was able to get 3 pair from a Fat Eighth of Tricot, two pair of size 5 and one pair in size 14. She told us she would have been able to get three of the larger size had she laid out all her pattern piece before cutting rather than cutting them one pair at a time. The color shown is Watermelon.
Sewing note: Tricot has mechanical give against the grain but no stretch. Be sure to select a pattern which accommodates these characteristics or that you add enough ease for a good fit. Place the direction of mechanical give going around the body for the best fit and comfort.
