Our Bra Builder Combo Kits take the guesswork out of bra building by putting together everything you'll need to make a beautiful bra using your own pattern. If you need a pattern, we have a great selection on our Patterns Page, both paper and downloadable.

Maybe you've pressed a flower from a special occasion in a book to preserve it. When I was younger, all my big books were filled with these pressed flowers. The memory of that day came back every time I looked at the silhouette of those preserved flowers. These silhouettes are wispy and sweet, and the galloon edges on this lace are a delicate geometric pattern. Since it's available as a mirrored pattern, it's especially gorgeous as an upper cup, power bar or anywhere you'd like to add something special. The kit will come with Frost fabrics and elastics unless you choose to upgrade to Mist elastics. Our Featured Artist made up a Loftus bra from Cashmerette with this kit, and we love it. To get the wide lower band, just pop on over to the Loftus listing.

This is one of our Bra Builder Budget Combos, and it's a great way to get a gorgeous garment without breaking the bank. All the fabrics are white, and the elastics can be either white (for the fastest shipping time and lowest cost), or you can pop a bit of our color Mist to highlight blue. Either way, it's beautiful!

One Bra Builder Combo kit contains everything that you need to make a bra and has enough fabric for 2 with some sizes. To get the second bra with larger sizes, upgrade to the half yard of cup fabric and add a bra finishing kit.

You can also add a matching panty kit. By default, your panty kit will have Frost fabrics and will match the elastics to your accent color. As always, feel free to choose your favorite elastics or narrow lace (please leave us a note if you don't see your choice!). You can also add a 9" square of absorbent fabric for your panty panel! You can find our collection of Waist Lace and Elastics here, and our collection of Leg Lace here.

Sewing Notes:
The strength of our microduoplex fabric, which makes it so wonderful for bras, also makes it hard to puncture with needles and pins. This is true with most duoplex fabrics. Use either fine silk pins or Wonder Clips to pin (I find Wonder Clips work best), and a Microtex 80/12 needle with a smooth thread like Superior Threads So Fine or Mettler Metrosene to make it easy to sew. In my testing, the So Fine thread and Microtex 80/12 won the challenge of the nicest stitch on microduoplex, and as long as my presser foot completely covered the seam allowance, I found it just as easy to sew as quilting cotton. I moved the needle to the right to set my seam allowance at 1/4" since my presser foot is a bit wide. I find it works well to saturate the lace with liquid starch and let it dry before laying out your pattern pieces and cutting your fabric. This stiffens the lace until you wash it and the lace has enough body to behave well in the sewing process.
We offer all these pins, clips, needles and thread here on our site.
