How about a comfortable pair of lace undies? Look no further than a simple pair of shorties! Our featured Artist used the Sinclair Essence Shorties Pattern for these pairs. Of course the bamboo is dreamy, but she was also impressed with how comfortable the lace pair was. Choosing a nice soft lace is the key.
The Bamboo kit comes with 1/2 yard and a 9"x18" square of cotton jersey for the crotch. This makes most sizes with most patterns. Since you can use self bands on your shorties, you choose if you need the elastic or not.
For the Lace version, you can chose either Larger (makes up to the largest size) or Smaller (makes up to a size L in most patterns). The Larger kit is 2 yards of stretch lace, the Smaller is 1 1/2 yard plus both have a 9"x18" portion of cotton jersey. For a low to mid rise shortie you need a stretch lace at about 9" wide for a smaller kit, and about 11" for a larger kit. Of course you can use a narrower lace and have a low rise panty, or you can cut any width lace to a lower rise, just be sure to get your waist elastic in that case. Sometimes you want to utilize the galloon edge of the lace for the legs and/or the waist, but still need a bit of elastic- choose clear elastic for this.
